Origin and Evolution

Ñora pepper is a small round red pepper variety essential to Mediterranean cuisine. Originally from the Americas, it was introduced to Spain in the 15th century and adapted particularly well in the Levante region, especially Murcia, where the monks of the Monastery of San Pedro de la Ñora promoted its cultivation.
